As a fashionable sport, more and more children play roller skating. Generally speaking, when children start to learn roller skating, they should go from shallow to deep.

However, as pulley is a safety project, children should pay attention to self-protection awareness when learning pulley. Parents should help children wear pulley protectors, such as knee pads, wrist pads and helmets, to reduce the injury rate of children.

What should children pay attention to when roller skating?

1. Children should do "warm-up" before roller skating. In addition to gliding gently and slowly, it is essential to pull the ligaments and move the hip, knee and ankle joints for at least 5-10 minutes.

2. When children play roller skating, they will inevitably fall down, so parents must remind children to protect their bodies. Knee protection is the most important part of the protective equipment. For beginners and roller skaters, the knee is the part with the highest probability of landing and the most vulnerable to impact when falling; Helmets are also very important. In case of a fall, the head is the most important part to protect. In many western countries, roller skating without wearing protective gear will be punished.

3. Choose a safe place. Don't play roller skating in places with a lot of pedestrians. The uneven, sloping and waterlogged ground is also not suitable for roller skating.

4. Although complex movements are beautiful, they are not suitable for beginners. Only under the guidance of professional teachers, can we try to do some difficult movements after we have mastered the essentials of the movements.

Learn the five basic movements of roller skating

01 Standing

First wear roller skates and protective equipment, and then stand up. After standing up, try to let the child lift his arms from the side to the shoulder height, with his left heel against the inside of his right foot, and stand in a T-shape. This is the most basic roller skating posture and the first test of children's courage.

Reminder: Mom and Dad can take the child's hand from the front and stand up, or let the child hold an object to stand up. But you must not hold the child up from behind, or the child will lean back, which is not conducive to mastering the essentials of movement.

02 Step

Including standing step, side step, step forward and other actions. Before stepping forward, it is better to take a few minutes to warm up. For example, you can do 15 times of standing leg lifting, stepping and stamping, mainly to strengthen the children's legs and prepare for the start of sliding.

Then, turn your feet from T shape to outer eight shape and step forward. Move your weight to your left leg and right leg and lift and lower them slightly. Then move the weight to the right leg, and lift and lower the left leg slightly. Practice again and again, and gradually speed up.

Reminder: Mom and Dad can tell the child to play the "tumbler" and move forward from left to right. At the same time, the knees are bent and the thighs are slightly close together, just like an "eight" shape. Pay attention to the children's back legs must be straight.

03 Taxi

After a period of practice, you can start to learn to slide. This is not too urgent. It's better to wait until the child is proficient. Some children can become proficient quickly, while others have to practice for several hours.

The key to the sliding action is to form a lunge with the left foot forward, push the right foot out to the side, lean the upper body forward slightly, stretch the arms at the same height as the shoulder, and place the weight on the left foot. Then the right foot is retracted to the inside of the left foot, the right foot slides forward, and the left foot kicks out backward and outwards. At the same time, the weight is moved from the left foot to the right foot, and the foot is retracted to the inside of the right foot. In addition, just like our driving test, it is also very important to taxi on curves. When turning, pay attention to lowering your weight and landing on one foot.

Reminder: when sliding, the feet should be pulled in cleanly, and when kicking out, the feet should be short, powerful and explosive. After the children have basically mastered sliding, they can participate in some group games to improve their interest in learning roller skating, such as squatting for objects, placing some toys beside the children or in the distance, asking the children to find the toys, then squatting to pick up the toys, and sliding to the basket in front.

04 Stop

In gliding, it is sometimes necessary to stop gliding in time, so children should learn the method of stopping gliding while initially mastering the basic movements of gliding. The stopping methods are divided into: central cutting method, A-shaped tool stopping, T-shaped tool stopping, and turning emergency stop.

Reminder: Children can use the center cut method, which is a method that is easy to master. The feet are parallel. Push the foot with the brake forward, with the toe slightly upward, so that the brake can grind to the ground. The harder you press the brake to the ground, the faster you can stop. Remember to keep your weight low and keep it between your feet, not too forward or too backward. Turning emergency stop requires good roller skating balance ability. It is not recommended for children to learn.

05 Safe fall

The training of safe fall is to disperse the impact force when falling through protective equipment and the whole body. When falling, the body should be kept falling forward to avoid falling backward or letting a part of the body completely bear the impact, such as hips, chin, wrists, elbows, knees, etc., so as to reduce the degree of injury to a single part.

Suggestion: lean forward, kneel down, lie down, slide forward with your palms, extend your body at the same time, and then fall to the ground completely. After a series of actions, the impact force when falling will be completely dispersed, so that a single part will not suffer too much or too heavy damage.
